Frequently Asked Questions for a Live Wedding Painter

Who chooses what is painted?

It is completely your choice! I am happy to help narrow down the exact moment and details. A great start is to choose a ceremony or reception moment. Then we can discuss specific details or people you want captured as we get closer to your big day. Keep in mind that I can combine multiple elements from the day and even add in pets or family who have passed on.

What should I expect on my day?

I arrive at your venue at least 2 hours before it begins to set up my easel and start painting in the background and basic elements of the location, before starting to add in more detail as the guests arrive. During the entire event I continue to paint, capturing your guests, decor, details, colors and emotions throughout your special evening.

Can my guests interact with you as you paint?

Absolutely! I encourage your guests to come over and find themselves in the painting and ask questions.

What is needed to book our date?

A signed contract and 50% deposit will lock in your event on my calendar, along with all of your supplies. The remaining balance is then due 2 weeks prior to the event.

What do you need from our venue in order to set up?

All I need on the day is a designated 6x6' space (near an outlet) in order to set up. I bring all equipment and materials and am able to easily move from one area to another. I also require a vendor meal.

I see you’re located in Los Angeles, CA. Do you travel?

Definitely! As long as your event date is available, I am happy to travel anywhere. Contact me for more detailed travel information and quotes! I make it a priority to keep travel rates as low as possible for my couples and clients.

The moment we want painted is super quick. Can you still paint it?

Always! There is no moment too short. I often take sneaky photos during your desired moment so that I have a reference photo to work with during the event.

When will I receive my finished painting?

Great question! This is dependent on the package experience you choose. I will add additional touch ups and details to your painting in studio. Couples can expect their painting delivered in 2-4 weeks. However, during peak seasons it may take longer.

My wedding has already happened! Can you paint it from a photo?

Absolutely! I truly enjoy creating gorgeous paintings from photographs. Reach out for more information about custom commission options!
